Printing on the MyChart app was one of Epic's most-requested features by patients and healthcare organizations.

I wrote and conducted usability studies, end-to-end tested and shepherded MyChart's new mobile printing feature from design to release.
I noticed a few patients didn't immediately see the triple-dot menu ⋮ containing the “Print" button during my first round of task-based user testing.
Hence, I realized some folks might miss out on this super dandy new feature if it wasn't made more discoverable. We needed to somehow draw more attention to it.
So, we added a brief tutorial that displays the first time a user accesses a printable page on the updated MyChart app. No one had trouble printing during round two of user testing with the addition of our little onboarding screen.
That's a win, if I do say so myself.
